Iowa Caucus & New Hampshire primary results
Is America going to experience another Biden vs Trump matchup? While American voters might feel like they’re experiencing Déjà vu, with one candidate facing 91 charges in court and the other candidate facing chaos both at home and abroad, the race to elect the 47th President of the United States is guaranteed to generate many surprises. On this episode of 360 View, Scottie Nell Hughes breaks down the results of the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire primary with her esteemed panel of Alan Grayson, Former Congressman and author of ‘High Crimes: The Impeachment of Donald Trump;’ Steve Gill, host of The Steve Gill Show and Political Commenter; and Melik Abdul, Political Analyst and GOP Commenter.
Congressional pork
The newest Congressional pork report is out and this year American taxpayers are set to pay for creative research and spending projects like $477,000 for transgender monkeys, $465,000 for casinos where pigeons would do the gambling and $25,000 to teach Chinese students surfing. On this episode of 360 View, Scottie Nell Hughes and a panel of experts (Melik Abdul, Political Analyst, Writer, & Strategist; Hilary Fordwich, Global business analyst, CEO of Strelmark; Steve Gill, political commenter and radio host) are going to look at one of the oldest traditions in Washington DC: wasteful spending. And maybe find one or two good investments in next year’s US Federal budget.
Pentagon audit
The Pentagon failed an independent audit of its accounting systems for the sixth consecutive year. Auditors found that half of the department’s claimed assets could not be accounted for. Required by law, the annual audit assesses the record-keeping processes for the Pentagon’s weapons systems, military personnel and property around the world. Approximately 1,600 auditors visited over 700 sites for the investigation. The annual exercise has helped the vast bureaucracy locate and tally arms, saving money and making it easier to find and ship weapons and technology to Ukraine. On this episode of 360 View, Scottie Nell Hughes asks her panel of experts (Robert Patillo, Political Analyst; Angie Wong, Co-host of the Final Countdown; Col. Rob Maness, host of The Rob Maness Show) how we can continue to write a blank check to a department that can’t account for what has already been spent.
January 6 tapes released
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will make all surveillance footage of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot available for the public to access online over the next couple months. The tapes will be posted on a public website and contain more than 44,000 hours of security footage taken during the Jan. 6 riot. As information continues to be revealed about the day, mainly through the release of security footage and personal videos, doubt is being cast on whether this protest which began as peaceful was instigated to become violent. Scottie Nell Hughes is joined by political analysts Robert Patillo, Melik Abdul, and Larry Ward, the chair of the Constitutional Rights PAC, on this episode of The 360 View to discuss who was involved in the attack on Capitol Hill and what impact this will have on future protests in the US.
Elon Musk vs. Media Matters
Freedom of Speech has seemed like a far-off dream in American culture during the past decade. However, billionaire Elon Musk has decided enough is enough and filed a defamation lawsuit against the liberal-leaning watchdog Media Matters for America. On this episode of 360 View, Scottie Nell Hughes speaks to her panel (Lionel, Legal and Media Analyst; Oli London, Social Media Commentator; Steve Malzberg, Media Commentator) about how the lawsuit against Media Matters is playing out in a Texas courtroom and how it might affect freedom of speech and social media platforms around the world.
Javier Milei & global libertarianism
Argentineans elected 53-year-old political outsider Javier Milei as their new president. Milei, an economist and self-described libertarian, pulled in nearly 56% of all votes counted in the runoff against his left-wing rival opponent, Sergio Massa, completing one of the most unlikely presidential victories in modern history. On this episode of 360 View, Scottie Nell Hughes asks her panel (Angela McArdle, Chair, Libertarian National Committee; Arn Menconi, Political Analyst; Esteban Carrillo, Journalist, The Cradle) about how the world is starting to pull away from the left-leaning political views. Are we seeing the rise of libertarian small government across the globe?
